The illustration is painted in watercolour paints on an Italian watercolour board which is a soft cream in colour. The inspiration is the extravagant cakes from Paris in the 1890s.

The artwork is mounted on a soft white stock and placed within a traditionally made Oak frame.

The image has been boosted slightly so it's clear to see on all devices. The actual mount colour is soft white and the watercolour boar is a soft cream. This is very difficult to show on these images and actually looks the other way round.
